Belay wise, it is pretty much the same set up, but as far as climbing goes, there's a few minor differences. With indoor climbing, you are restricted to only the footholds on the wall. However, while outdoor climbing, the footholds can basically be anything on the rock! Routes for indoor climbing are also always labeled, making it more cut and dry. For outdoor climbing, routes are a bit more difficult to notice.
